St. Margaret’s Church, which stands in the grounds of Westminster Abbey opposite Parliament, is launching a £2 million appeal to fund essential works to repair it’s roof, external walls and bell tower. The church known as the ‘parish church of the House of Commons’ is where wartime leader Winston Churchill married his beloved Clemmie in 1908. Today the church serves both Houses of Parliament with Parliamentary babtisms, weddings and memorial services.
